Let's Talk Health

WOAH!

Well where do I begin?! I’ll say for starters I’m still in a shock phase looking at the results I've been seeing when I look at myself in the mirror.

But before I get into all of that I’m taking it back to July 2017 when I made a major lifestyle change from being an omnivore to a vegetarian. What fueled this change was not because I wanted to put myself on a "diet" this was me being more conscious of what I was fueling my body with and meat was not fueling me , it was more so holding me back from reaching my highest potential of healthiness, mindfulness and wholeness.

I have to admit I wasn't making the smartest choices in what I was eating when I first committed myself to this new lifestyle. In my beginning stages of my new transition to being a vegetarian yes I avoided eating meat but I still divulged in my guilty pleasures such as pasta’s , cookies, and living in New York OH MY, the pizza is life!!  With that being said I never felt the true results of what being a "healthy" vegetarian was because I was still polluting my body was nonsense. Needless to say I ate out quite a lot and it all started to add up. I realized my self esteem wasn’t at all where I wanted it to be it may have looked all peaches and cream on social media but my spirit was not in a good place and I was the only person to blame for that.

So I started holding myself accountable and started taking my behind to the grocery store and meal prepping.

Shopping for healthier foods started to add up and be a tad more expensive than eating out but at least I had control over what was going in my body instead of just grabbing things to go out of connivence.

After holding myself accountable , I made smarter choices by buying lots of greens! The trainers that all say it all starts in the kitchen folks they are not lying LOL!! After months of eating things such as Broccoli , Spinach , String Beans, brown rice and black beans etc.. I grew tired of those basic things , it all felt bland and repetitive so I started coming up with fun recipes that incorporated all of the nutrients I needed to feel satisfied and taste amazing at the same time.
